This two-day course teaches the Lean-Agile principles and practices of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®). You’ll learn how to execute and release value through Agile Release Trains, how to build an Agile Portfolio, and how to lead a Lean-Agile transformation at enterprise scale. You will gain an understanding of the Lean-Agile mindset and how to apply the principles and practices of SAFe to support Agile teams, programs, program portfolio management, and to coordinate large Value Streams. Attending the class prepares you to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Agilist (SA).

  •   Experience in Scrum

Applying a Lean-Agile mindset with SAFe Agilist Certification | Based on version 4.6 of SAFe.

To perform the role of a Lean-Agile Leader, you should be able to:

By Road:

Follow the signs to the City Centre car parks. The nearest car park is the NCP Mitchell Street car park - use the exit to Gordon Street and Renfield Street is on your left. Alternatively, the NCP Oswald Street car park which has a pedestrian exit through Central Station (see above) is within five minutes walk from Portland House.

By Rail: 

Central Station
Leave the station via the main exit into Gordon Street. Turn right, cross the road, and turn left at the traffic lights into Renfield Street. The training centre is in Portland House, which is on the left, with a Starbucks Coffee Shop on the ground floor.  

Queen Street Station
Take the exit onto West George Street, turning left and walk to the junction with Buchanan Street (pedestrianised shopping street) and turn left into Buchanan Street. Turn right into St Vincent Street which crosses Renfield Street at the next traffic lights. Turn left, and Portland House is across the road facing you. 


By Bus:

Express buses run from GlasgowAirport (terminal forecourt, outside departures lobby) to near the Central railway station, to Queen Street railway station, and to the Buchanan Street bus station.
There's service every 15 minutes throughout the day. The fare is £3.50 on both Scottish Citylink and Fairline buses.

Exam Details

  •   Exam name: SAFe® 4.6 Agilist Exam
  •   Exam format: Multiple choice
  •   Exam delivery: Web-based (single-browser), closed book, no outside assistance, timed
  •   Exam access: Candidates can access the exam within the SAFe Community Platform upon completion of the Leading SAFe® course
  •   Exam duration: Once the exam begins, candidates have 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to complete the exam
  •   Number of questions: 45
  •   Passing score: 34 out of 45 (76% passing score)
  •   Language: English
  •   Exam cost: First exam attempt is included as part of the course registration fee if the exam is taken within 30 days of course completion. Each retake attempt costs $50.
  •   Retake policy: Second attempt on exam (first retake) can be done immediately after first attempt. Third attempt requires a 10-day wait. Fourth attempt requires a 30-day wait. Contact support@scaledagile.com for any retake questions.

SAFe Certification Kit

Attendees who pass the certification exam will receive:

  •   SAFe Agilist certificate
  •   A SAFe 4 Agilist digital badge to promote your accomplishment online
  •   A one-year certified membership as a SAFe Agilist, which includes access to the SA Community of Practice
  •   A SAFe Agilist certification usage guide with SA certification marks
  •   Access to a variety of learning resources to support certified professionals during their SAFe journey

PDU credits

  •   Attendees may be eligible to apply for 16 PDUs toward their continuing education requirements with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for PMP and PMI-ACP certifications.
  •   Attendees may be eligible to apply for SEUs under category C, toward earning or renewing their CSP through Scrum Alliance.
