PRINCE2 Agile® is the world’s most complete project management solution, combining the flexibility and responsiveness of agile with the clearly defined framework of PRINCE2®. PRINCE2 Agile® is an extension module tailored for forward thinking organizations and individuals already benefiting from PRINCE2® that would like further guidance on how to apply agile development methods to the world’s most recognized project management method.

PRINCE2® Agile® is supported by an exam qualification and accredited training to support its use.  As with PRINCE2®, PRINCE2 Agile® can be applied to any type of project within any industry sector, but with the emphasis on an agile approach.

This guidance and training helps experienced PRINCE2® Practitioners tailor project management controls for agile development, while helping ‘agilistas’ understand PRINCE2® project governance requirements.

Benefits Of PRINCE2 Agile®

The benefits of using this method include:

  • Allows projects and Project Managers to focus on both the management and delivery of the solution
  • Enables you to scale the required work to your precise requirements
  • Will work with any established agile development approach
  • Is a collaboratively-built programme that is corporate friendly

Learning Objectives

The key objectives of this course are to:

  • Understand the basic concepts of common agile ways of working
  • Explore  the purpose and context for combing PRINCE2® and the agile way of working
  • Apply and evaluate the focus areas to a project in an agile context
  • Fix and flex the six aspects of a project in an agile context
  • Apply or tailor the PRINCE2® principles, themes, processes and management products to a project in an agile context
  • Prepare delegates for the PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner exam
  • Accredited PRINCE2 Agile® training is provided by SPOCE Project Management Limited, accredited by PeopleCert.

PRINCE2 Agile® is seen very much as being an extension unit for qualified PRINCE2® Practitioners, thus a valid previous project management certification is required. Any one of the following qualifications are accepted to meet the pre-requiste

- PRINCE2 Foundation, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), IPMA Level A®(Certified Projects Director), IPMA Level B®(Certified Senior Project Manager), IPMA Level C®(Certified Project Manager), IPMA Level D®(Certified Project Management Associate).

Important Notice

Whilst sitting on the Foundation training is not a prerequisite to sit the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner Exam, delegates must have a relevant project management qualification (as listed above).  The knowledge of PRINCE2 is essential to understand, apply and pass the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner Exam. Unless delegates have passed their PRINCE2 exam in the past 3 months, they are unlikely to sufficiently remember PRINCE2 to the level required to make the best of the PRINCE2 Agile training.

We would normally point out that, while the Foundation exam is not required to be taken, the Foundation level training is (or it is at least very heavily advised).  Someone who has successfully completed an IPMA or PMI qualification for example, will not be aware of the PRINCE2 terminology or the 40 activities that can be tested in the Practitioner exam.  So therefore would not always do so well.

We are offering our PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner delegates to either

a)  come on the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation part of the course at no further charge (foundation exam not included) or

b) do the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation eLearning, again at no further charge

The objective as you can see is to ensure that the delegates get the best out of the training.
