Developing a Training Needs Analysis

Training and Development is crucially important to the success of an organisation at all levels. It can and should be a powerful, positive process that helps individuals, groups and the whole organisation. Yet Training Needs Analysis (TNA) can be construed as expensive, or misunderstood, and not planned in a wider context of change and growth. It is necessary to recognise the value of properly implemented TNA in order to provide appropriate, cost-effective training that develops and motivates staff.

Learning Objectives

This intensive, hands-on, one-day workshop, delegates will explore how to accurately identify the training and development needs of three elements: the organization, the occupational groups within it and the individuals working there.

They will look at each of the three in turn and work through approaches that are common to all, or unique to one.

Pre-Requisites

This course is designed for all managers or supervisors, whether in an HR or line management role, who want an understanding of the purpose and principles of Training Needs Analysis that will form the basis of an ongoing development process for their staff.
