BCS Programme and Project Support (PPSO) Essentials

This foundation course is designed to enable those responsible for establishing, managing or working within a programme or project support office to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively fulfil their role.

Programme and Project Support roles are becoming increasingly pivotal in their overall contribution to Programme and Project Management. For many years, the Project Management professionals who undertake these roles have been overlooked in terms of career development.


Target Audience:

Staff working in project and/or programme offices supporting the planning, monitoring and control of IT and IS projects.

Those wishing to establish practical procedures to underpin the management of project undertakings by setting up a programme and/or project support office.

Those looking to apply best practice project management methodology in an IT environment (the training draws on PRINCE2 and MSP although no knowledge of either is assumed).

Exams & Certification

The Essentials Certificate exam is taken at the end of the course on the final day. It is a 1 hour multiple choice paper of 40 questions; the pass mark is 60%.

Successful candidates may proceed to study for the Advanced certificate.
