Microsoft Software Assurance Vouchers (SATV) Are Retiring. Make Sure You Use Yours Soon…

There are some important changes to the Microsoft Software Assurance Vouchers scheme that you need to be aware of, and you will need to act if you have existing vouchers before it is too late.

Some changes had already been outlined in a previous Microsoft announcement in September 2019 and they have excluded Azure training from the scheme since February 2020. However, the scheme will not completely cease on the 1st January 2022 – but you will need to assign your outstanding vouchers before this deadline.

What are Microsoft Software Assurance Vouchers?

Microsoft Software assurance Voucher (SATVs) are bundled in with Microsoft technology purchases. They are designed to help you get the most out of your Microsoft Technology investment, through ensuring that Microsoft accredited training is integrated into your purchase.

When do I need to assign by vouchers by?

The changes to the scheme mean that any existing vouchers will need to be assigned before 30th of June 2021 – so there is no time to waste – although your chosen training can be up to December 2021. Taking advantage of your assurance vouchers means you can improve you or your teams proficiency in Microsoft technologies and improve productivity.

What training can I use my vouchers on?

The vouchers are valid on a range of in-class and online Microsoft training events. The easiest way to know if the training you are interested in is covered by the scheme is to get in touch with our sales team and they will be happy to assist you.

Certification Boot Camps

Microsoft certifications such as MCTS and MCITP can significantly enhance career and salary prospects. Are exams included with Microsoft technical courses?

Exams are not normally included. Exams are taken separately at a Prometric test centre.

If it is more convenient for you to bundle an exam voucher with a course then this can be arranged, but there will be a small administration charge.

Generally, there will be a series of courses (and sometimes other training resources) which will prepare you for a specific certification exam.
