Introduction to SQL for Testers

The Introduction to SQL course provides delegates with an introduction to the important field of relational databases.  By the end of the course delegates will have a good understanding of how relational databases work and some practical experience of using SQL commands to query and update a database.

This one-day course is designed to be interactive with quizzes and hands-on exercises using MySQL databases that allow attendees to try out the commands in a safe environment.

Who is it for?

The Introduction to SQL course is primarily aimed at testing professionals who need sufficient SQL skills to be able to query databases to locate and check data and to be able to create and update test data. It is also suitable for anyone who wishes to gain a basic understanding of databases and SQL commands, including developers, business analysts and project managers.

  • Understand how to backup and restore a SQLdatabase.


There are no formal entry requirements for this course, although prior experience of working on IT projects is certainly beneficial.
