Certified Ethical Hacker v10 Masterclass

Special Notices

You will recieve your CEHv10 (ANSI & Practical) Pearson Vue exam vouchers in your course fee, but will need to arrange this exam at Pearson Vue testing facility. Your 6 month access to the CEHv10 (iLabs) will commence when you complete the course.

A Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) is a skilled professional who understands and knows how to look for weaknesses and vulnerabilities in target systems and uses the same knowledge and tools as a malicious hacker, but in a lawful and legitimate manner to assess the security posture of a target system(s). The CEH credential certifies individuals in the specific network security discipline of Ethical Hacking from a vendor-neutral perspective.

The Purpose of the CEH credential is to:

  •   Establish and govern minimum standards for credentialing professional information security specialists in ethical hacking measures
  •   Inform the public that credentialed individuals meet or exceed the minimum standards
  •   Reinforce ethical hacking as a unique and self-regulating profession

The CEHv10 course is now accredited under the GCHQ Certified Training (GCT) Scheme, for more details see here.

EC-Council

EC-Council is a world leader in the provision of IT Security courses, Information Security certifications and training programmes. QA is proud to have won the EC-Council Circle of Excellence Award for three years running (2015, 2016 and 2017).

We provide the most complete EC-Council curriculum in the UK, with the most certified EC-Council Instructors.

What is the difference between Certified Ethical Hacker Version 9 and Certified Ethical Hacker Version 10?

CEH V10 has introduced some new major modules.

They have a whole set of new and upgraded modules on IoT devices, vulnerability assessment and a lot more.

CEH v10 takes v9 to the next level. The CEH v10 has included several new modules to further assist students in becoming more “offensive” oriented, rather than “defensive” and reactionary. The first change is the inclusion of a vulnerability analysis (VA) module. Instead of being included in another module, vulnerability analysis becomes its own module. This includes methodology, various tools and techniques, and ways to ensure your organization maintains a robust VA environment. The Center for Information Security (CIS) just released their v7 security controls, and Vulnerability Management was moved up into the #3 spot. By having an entire module on VA, this aligns with the importance stressed in ensuring a thorough vulnerability analysis/remediation environment.

The EC-Council have also added an entire module on Malware Analysis. While not an in-depth exploration of the topic, a methodology of how to go about doing malware analysis, and what tools to use, is now included in the CEH curriculum. By doing some reverse engineering on these problems, students get more hands-on experience in some coding techniques.

Of the additional modules, Internet of Things (IoT) is the last module that was added. This includes some IoT topic discussion, various IoT platform attacks, and tools for attack.

The EC-Council has also addressed the presentation of the modules, including hands-on virtual labs as part of the module training. With so much information to be presented to students in a boot-camp style format, it helps to have some of the labs done in the module itself, rather than after class in the evening.

Learning Objectives

Here’s what’s new in the CEHv10:

  •   A module on the Internet of Things (IoT) security
  •   Upgraded vulnerability assessment material
  •   A focus on cloud attack vectors, AI and Machine Learning
  •   International ANSI accreditation
  •   Introduction of the CEHv10 (Practical) exam

In response to the escalating threat of unsecured IoT devices – like 2017’s Mirai botnet attack - CEHv10 will introduce a new module focusing on Internet of Things (IoT) security. This module will provide professionals with the knowledge they need to test, deploy and manage the security of IoT devices.

Certified Ethical Hacker V10 Masterclass includes

• CEHv10 Course (ANSI)

• CEHv10 (ANSI) Exam Voucher

• CEHv10 (Practical) Exam Voucher

• CEHv10 iLabs (Post Course Lab Access)

The CEHv10 (Practical) is a 6 hours practical exam built to exacting specifications by subject matter experts in the EH field. Professionals that possess the CEHv10 credential will be able to sit for exam that will test their limits in unearthing vulnerabilities across major operating systems, databases, and networks. To those who meet and exceed the skills level set, they will earn the new industry required certification – the CEHv10 (Practical) certification. Professionals that possess the C|EH credential will be able to sit for exam that will test them to their limits in unearthing vulnerabilities across major operating systems, databases, and networks.

You will be given limited time, just like in the real world. The exam was developed by a panel of experienced SMEs and includes 20 real-life scenarios with questions designed to validate essential skills required in the ethical hacking domains as outlined in the CEHv10 program.

The CEHv10 (Practical) exam is a six-hour, rigorous exam that requires delegates to demonstrate the application of ethical hacking techniques such as threat vector identification, network scanning, OS detection, vulnerability analysis, system hacking, web app hacking, etc. to solve a security audit challenge.

It is not a simulated exam but rather, it mimics a real corporate network through the use of live virtual machines, networks, and applications, designed to test your skills. You will be presented with scenarios and will be asked to demonstrate the application of the knowledge acquired in the CEHv10 course to find solutions to real-life challenges.

Exam Eligibility:

  •   Be a CEH member in good standing
  •   or Have a minimum of 3 years working experience in InfoSec domain
