Overview

This nationally recognised NEBOSH qualification focuses on workplace health and will benefit companies in all sectors who are seeking to improve the efficiency and morale of their workforce. It will equip managers to minimise sickness absence, encourage people back to work and deal effectively with the health and well-being issues of their employees.

This course will be of value to general managers, supervisors, HR professionals, safety professionals and anyone with day-to-day responsibility for the health and well-being of employees.

Directions:

Travelling by car

Cambourne is located nine miles to the west of Cambridge city centre, and CB23 6EA should be used with sat-nav. From Cambourne the A428 trunk road provides direct dual carriageway access to Cambridge Science Park, a journey that takes only 10 minutes. The M11 motorway is just six miles to the east of Cambourne, and runs south to London, the M25 and Stansted Airport: Eight miles to the west of Cambourne the A428 links with the A1 giving easy access to the A1, Peterborough and the North.

Travelling by rail

The nearest train station to Cambourne Business Park is St Neots, which is only 15 minutes car or taxi ride. There is a frequent rail service between London Kings Cross and St Neots – journey time is approximately 45 minutes. From St Neots passengers can also access the East Coast Mainline service to Scotland and the northeast via Peterborough.

Travelling by air

Stansted Airport is a 30 minute journey from Cambourne Business Park. Alternatively, Heathrow Airport is approximately 1 hour 55 minutes by car or 1 hour 45 minutes by train. Cambridge Airport offers regional air services, is just 15 minutes away and Bourn Airfield, adjacent to Cambourne itself, has facilities for executive aircraft.   • Unit HAW1 is a taught unit assessed by one two-hour written examination. 
  • Unit HAW2 is assessed by a practical assessment to be undertaken in the candidate’s own workplace. This must be taken within 14 days of completing the end of the course.
