This CAPM e-learning is based on the Project Management Institute's, 'A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide) – Sixth Edition, Project Management Institute, Inc., 6th Edition'. Students view and review e-learning sessions, complete a range of interactive exercises in each session, and test themselves with a range of multiple-choice format questions. These questions are based on typical questions in the CAPM examination. This e-learning is aligned to the PMBOK Guide – Sixth Edition.

PMI Examination Information

The CAPM exam is not included with this course.

You have to apply to the Project Management Institute (PMI)® before you can sit the exam. There’s a strict protocol as they have to authenticate that the pre-requisite criteria has been met prior to exam attendance. In order to understand the PMI process we recommend you review the CAPM handbook on the PMI website.

Pre-requisites

To apply for the CAPM examination, you need to have:

Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam


EXAM FORMAT
The CAPM exam is not included with this course.

  • 150 multiple-choice questions. Of the 150 questions, 15 are considered pretest questions. Pretest questions do not affect the score and are used in examinations as an effective and legitimate way to test the validity of future examination questions. All questions are placed throughout the examination randomly
  • Three hour duration
  • You can familiarise yourself with the CAPM exam content outline here.
  • To maintain your CAPM, you must retake the exam every five years.
