Data Protection & GDPR Training

Data Protection training can be of benefit to anyone working within data protection, information security and privacy. It is particularly useful for those working as, or aspiring to become, Data Protection Officers (DPO) as the courses provide essential knowledge of the core legislation and best practices. Data protection training enables you to learn about the Data Protection Act and other key legislation such as GDPR, which in turn provides the foundations to ensure your organisation is fully compliant.

Our Data Protection courses can also be of value for those working in Project Management, Legal Departments, Marketing, IT and Human Resources, where an understanding of the law will help to provide confidence and inform decision taking. Our range of Data Protection courses includes the BCS Accredited Foundation Certificate in Data Protection as well as training on the incoming EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that will be in place from May 2018.

Data Protection Compliance

The consequences of security breaches and failing to take the necessary steps to safeguard customer and sensitive data and information can be very serious, for example failing to comply with the new GDPR regulations carries a maximum fine of €20m or 4% of global turnover! It is therefore crucial to provide effective training for Data Protection Officers and those responsible for the collection of data, storage of data and use of data.

Data privacy and security needs to be treated as a priority for organisations and ensuring that staff have adequate knowledge of the core data protect legislation and undergo effective training is a great starting point. As well as our range of classroom events, we can provide competitively-priced onsite training if you are looking to provide your team with a data protection overview or industry-recognised certification - contact us for details.

GDPR Certification

The new regulation comes into effect in May 2018 and now is the time to ensure you or your Data Protection Officers are aware of what the legislation is? What has changed? And what you need to put in place to ensure compliance?

Fortunately, we have a range of GDPR training options to help you prepare. These range from general awareness and overview sessions, through to full 4 and 5 day certification courses. Our GDPR training courses run as public schedule events or we can deliver the content as closed courses at your premises.

We offer GDPR courses certifed by both the APMG and IBITGQ.

IBITGQ Accredited Qualification

The popular ISO 17024-accredited EU Certified General Data Protection Regulation Foundation & Practitioner certifications are certified by the IBITGQ. This set of courses have proven to be a popular option for those wanting a recognised certification as well as GDPR knowledge. There are two parts to this certification; Foundation & Practitioner. You must complete the Foundation element before taking the Practitioner exam. The courses can be taken separately or as a combined 5 day event.

AMPG Accredited Qualification

We also offer an APMG certified 4 day Practitioner course.
