Overview

This BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Change is designed for anyone involved in or affected by change initiatives required to deliver business benefit. These initiatives are likely to include the implementation of revised business processes and/or IT systems.

This course considers the underlying concepts in the areas of business and requirements analysis, change management and the consultancy skills necessary to ensure maximum value is achieved from the implementation.
The Certificate counts towards the Business Analysis Diploma as one of the available knowledge based options.

Target Audience

This certificate is suitable either for those wishing to subsequently pursue the individual topic areas in more detail, or those from other disciplines, including business domains, who require an understanding of the subject.

Learning Objectives

Candidates who pass this qualification will be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the underlying principles and philosophies of Business Change, including those that relate to business and IS strategy, business improvement definition, designing and implementing business change, and business change management. They should also have an appreciation of the key techniques that can be employed to support the business change life-cycle. The syllabus reflects general and well-established best practice for business change work.

Pre-Requisites

Photographic identification for exams and BCS reasonable adjustments policy:

• If you are taking a BCS exam you must bring photographic identification (passport, driving license or student card) as it is a BCS requirement to produce it for the invigilator prior to the exam. Failure to produce a valid form of photographic identification will result in a candidate not being able to sit the exam.

• BCS allow additional time for candidates who have a disability or whose native language differs to that of the examination paper.  Full details are provided in the BCS Reasonable Adjustments Policy which is available to view on the BCS website. By tube or bus

For directions by tube or bus please go to the Transport for London Journey Planner. The nearest tube station to Imparando is Aldgate East.

On foot from Aldgate East tube station

The Imparando City of London Learning Centre is a two and a half minute walk from Aldgate East Tube station.
Out of the underground station take Exit 4 to the right. You will come out of the tube station immediately opposite The Whitechapel Gallery on Whitechapel High Street. At the top of the tube station steps continue to walk forward some 20 meters to the junction immediately ahead, and turn left onto Commercial Road.
Continue along this road for some 50 meters, when  the road curves left. At this point you are heading East, away from the Swiss Re/Gherkin building which is on the skyline to the West.
Continue past the fire station which will be on your left, and when you reach the next set of traffic lights, cross the road and, still heading east, continue further for some 50 metres to the entrance of our building at 56 Commercial Road.
Our Reception can be found on the 3rd Floor.

On foot from Aldgate tube station


The Imparando City of London Learning Centre is approximately 5 minutes walk from Aldgate tube station. Upon exiting the underground station turn left and continue down the road on the left-hand side.
Cross over St. Botolph Street and continue to the bottom of Commercial Street.
Cross over Commercial Street staying on the left-hand side continue for approx 50 meters to the next set of traffic lights and cross over the road onto Commercial Road. Continue along this road for some 50 meters, when  the road curves left. At this point you are heading East, away from the Swiss Re/Gherkin building which is on the skyline to the West.
