If ever we needed proof on the benefits of testing before you launch!

Consumer experience on your website has never been more important and we have all suffered poor website experience with broken links or the desperate search for important information before suffering ‘mouse rage’.

However, the story coming out over the weekend puts the need for quality testing before you launch into real perspective.

Apparently a Trident II D5 missile test ended in failure after it was launched from the British submarine HMS Vengeance off the coast of Florida in June 2016.

Reportedly intended to be fired 5,600 miles to a sea target off the African coast, the missile veered off towards the USA instead.

No one was hurt in the incident and the missile was unarmed. The test was part of a crew and systems certification following a £350m upgrade of missile and computer systems.

It certainly proves the need for a solid test strategy before launch!

This month we cover the topic of ‘Is Software Testing the career for me?‘ and on the focus website we have a number of software testing courses relating to popular testing tools and vendor technologies.
