Please note that this certification has recently been re-named APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) by the accreditation body (APM). It was formerly known as the APM Introductory Certificate. It is a simple rebrand and the assessment criteria, learning outcomes and training models remain unchanged.

The APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (formerly APM Introductory Certificate in Project Management) is a qualification that is designed for those embarking on a project management career or for individuals who require recognition for their general project management knowledge and awareness.  

This APM PFQ course is based upon the Association for Project Management’s Body of Knowledge and covers the syllabus for the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification examination.  The course covers a wide range of topics at a summary level thus providing attendees with a broad understanding of project management terminology, basic techniques and the people skills required to successfully manage a project.

Pre-Requisites

Prior knowledge or experience of project management is not essential. However, the course is intensive and therefore delegates are advised to undertake some revision work in the evening to prepare for the Introductory Certificate examination. The additional work required during evenings will consist of consolidation reading and mock examination questions.

Delegates will be provided with pre-course reading prior to attending the course. The success on the course will be enhanced by close attention to the pre-reading materials.
