Target Audience
Anyone wishing to gain the PRINCE2 foundation qualification and a detailed understanding of the terminology and principles behind the method.
Project professionals who prefer to become registered PRINCE2 Practitioners in 2 stages.
Aspiring project managers.
Those working in project team, support or assurance roles.
Learning Objectives
The 3-day PRINCE2 training course is designed to provide you with a working understanding of the PRINCE2 structured project management method and to pass the PRINCE2 Foundation examination (included in the course).
Upon completion you will be able to:
- Understand the need for project management
- Understand how PRINCE2 meets that requirement
- Understand the principles, themes and processes of PRINCE2
- Participate as an informed member of a project team
Successful delegates will receive the widely recognised PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate, and will be eligible to take the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam.
Pre-Requisites
No previous knowledge of PRINCE2 is necessary.
It is helpful to have experience of working in a project environment.

What’s Included ?
The fee includes course materials, PRINCE2 manual, registration, PRINCE2 Foundation exam (total value over £150), and refreshments (usually including lunch).
Please note that this is an intensive course. Most Focus accredited training providers will supply a pre-course reading pack which will include the PRINCE2 manual and you will be expected to carry out 15-20 hours pre-course reading prior to starting the course. There will also be revision and exam practice work each evening of the course.

Examinations
You will sit the 1-hour PRINCE2 Foundation examination on the last day of the course.
It's a one hour multiple-choice paper consisting of 75 questions (5 are unmarked questions for trial purposes). You need 35 correct answers to pass.
The exam will be based on the 2009 edition of the PRINCE2 manual.
Please, note that you will need to bring photo ID for the exam.
