Learning Objectives

The 5 day course will provide delegates with the ability to organise, plan and control projects using the PRINCE2 method. Upon completion you will be able to:

- Implement the PRINCE2 process model in a variety of environments

- Prepare the appropriate level of plans using Product Based Planning

- Undertake risk analysis and management in a project environment

- Apply Change Control and Configuration Management within a project

- Manage and control a project throughout its life-cycle

- Participate as an informed member of a project management team

Successful delegates will become Registered PRINCE2 Practitioners.

Pre-Requisites

No previous knowledge of PRINCE2 is necessary.

It is helpful to have experience of working in a project environment.

What’s Included ?
The Course fee includes pre-course reading pack, PRINCE2 manual (2009 edition), registration, PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner examinations (total value over £250), and refreshments (usually including lunch).

Pre-reading and Evening Study
Please note that this is an intensive course.  Most Focus accredited training providers will supply a pre-course reading pack which will include the PRINCE2 manual and you will be expected to carry out 15- 20 hours pre-course reading prior to starting the course.  There will also be revision and exam practice work each evening of the course.

Accreditation
The course is fully accredited by the APM Group and OGC.  It is delivered by an accredited PRINCE2 training organisation.

Examinations

Foundation - 1 hour multiple choice closed book exam.

Practitioner - 2.5 hour scenario based multiple choice exam (official manual allowed).

The exams will be based on the 2009 edition of the PRINCE2 manual.

Delegates who pass the Practitioner exam are awarded the qualification of "Registered PRINCE2 Practitioner". The certificate is an internationally recognised qualification in PRINCE2.
