PRINCE2 Conversion

PRINCE2 Conversion Courses

Take a  PRINCE2 "Conversion" course if you have acheived PRINCE2 Foundation and now want to gain the PRINCE2 Practitioner's certificate.

PRINCE2 Conversion training courses are also suitable for those who have attended a Practitioner course but did not pass the Practitioners' exam - and so would like a re-sit inclusive of additional coaching.

Likewise they provide an alternative to Re-registration courses which typically include a maximum of one day's preparation for those renewing certification after 5 years.

Focus offers the most comprehensive schedule of PRINCE2 Conversion training courses - and you can book online.

PRINCE2 Conversion training will build on your knowledge of the structure and content of PRINCE2 and help you apply this knowledge to a range of practical scenarios. The course provides an exam-focused revision of the PRINCE2 method and guidance in the approach to be taken to achieve exam success. The PRINCE2 Practitioner examination is included.

You must have passed the Prince2 Foundation exam in order to attend this course.

Top Questions about  PRINCE2 Conversion Training Courses

1 – Why are some courses 2 days and some 3 days?

They both cover the same ground and include the same exam.  It's simply a matter of how much time you think you need.  We would recommend the 3 day options for those who undertook a 2005 version of PRINCE2 Foundation. It's also worth checking the course outline to see when the exam will be held; some courses arrange it on the Friday morning and some in the afternoon.

2 - Who is the Prince2 Conversion course suitable for?

Anyone who holds the Foundation Certificate and would like to become a Registered PRINCE2 Practitioner.

3 - What is the Pass Rate for the Exams?

The typical Pass Rate for the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam are 85-95%.

4 - Is this course the same as the PRINCE2 Practitioner?

Focus uses the title "PRINCE2 Practitioner" to describe the course which combines both Foundation and Practitioner training (usually 5 days). It is true that some training companies use "PRINCE2 Practitioner" to describe this Conversion course, which does not include Foundation training or exam.

5 – Is the PRINCE2 manual provided with this course?

No, because it is assumed that you will have a manual from your Foundation studies.  If you need to upgrade to the latest (2009) edition then this can be bought at reduced price from the Focus bookshop.

6 - Are there any other recommended PRINCE2 study books?

Other useful publications available from Focus include "How to pass your PRINCE2 exams".

7 - How long will it take to get the result of my PRINCE2 Exam?

The PRINCE2 Practitioner papers are sent to the APMG for marking, and it will take 2-4 weeks to receive your results.
