P3O and PPSO training courses are available in London Birmingham Manchester Leeds Bristol Glasgow Edinburgh and 20 UK cities.

P3O and PPSO are methodologies which provide best practice expertise on the setting up and operation of project support offices and facilities.

Both approaches are well respected in the UK and have accredited training and certification structures associated with them.

P3O - Portfolio, Programme & Project Offices

- combines a set of principles, processes and techniques to enable highly effective portfolio, programme and project management.

- based on current best practice thinking, as promoted by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC)

- aligned to PRINCE2, MSP and MoR. 

There are two levels of accredited training and certification:

P3O Foundation
- covers the concepts and structures P3O  (2 or 3 day course)

P3O Foundation & Practitioner

- qualification which is designed for anyone responsible for setting up a P3O (4 or 5 day course options)

 

ISEB PPSO - Programme & Project Support Office

- developed and accredited by ISEB, the exam arm of the British Computer Society

- provides  guidance on the establishment and operation of Programme and Project support activities.

There are ISEB certificates at 2 levels.

Essentials Certificate

- an introduction aimed at newcomers to the subject or those working in a PPSO environment.

Advanced Certificate

- for those with responsibility for setting up and managing a programme and project support office.
